LAURA SIROWITZ, LCSW provides individual counseling to adults, adolescents, and children who struggle with hair pulling, skin picking, and related problems. She also works with parents and family members of sufferers. In addition to her expertise with body-focused disorders, she counsels individuals with anxiety disorders and relationship issues.

PRACTICE

In her practice, Laura helps people increase their ability to overcome compulsive hair pulling and skin picking, as well as related issues — such as anxiety, relationship problems, OCD, and other body-focused behaviors (BFRBs).

While she is concerned with the whole person, her focus is largely on the practical treatment of these problems in the here and now.

As a former hair puller, Laura has a deep understanding of the problem and it is her belief that recovery is a reasonable and realistic goal.
